Lady Gaga shows off her soulful side in a powerful new video featuring a piano version of her song “Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Goin?’). It’s in honor of her late-Aunt Joanne who died of Lupus at 19.

Gaga, 31, also has tested positive for the disease.

In preamble to the video, Gaga, real name Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta reveals the inspiration for the song.

Joanne was her father’s sister, who died at 19 from the auto-immune deficiency disease. Her father was 15 at the time.

Gaga has picked the song to perform at the 2018 Grammy Awards, which will air this Sunday (Jan. 28).

Gaga is up for two Grammys, Best Pop Vocal Album for her latest release,Joanne, and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Million Reasons.”

Joanne, her fifth studio album is a departure from her dance-driven previous work. She delves into country and pop.

The album was released last October. It sold 170,000 copies during its first week and peaked at No. 1 on album charts.

Last August, Gaga launched her Joanne World Tour, following her performance in the Super Bowl LI halftime show. She’s still on the road.

In a Tweet announcing the new version of the song, Gaga urged her fans to make a contribution to the The @LupusResearch Alliance in honor of her aunt.

“Please consider a donation to this tremendous organization,” she wrote.
