Fergie, the female half of The Black Eyed Peas, believes a rock star life only goes so far. She chose a concert at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium to bid farewell to group members Will.i.am, Taboo and apl.de.dap.

“Tonight is our graduation,” she told the crowd. “It’s a very special night for all of us. We’re so thankful to be sharing this night together.”

Fergie, 36, has wanted to take an indefinite break from the group to spend more time with husband Josh Duhamel, who apparently is the Peas’ Yoko Ono.

“It’s all about Black Eyed Peas; there’s no room in my schedule to have a child,” she said in an interview.

“Even if I wanted to get pregnant, there’s no way I could perform on stage and be pregnant; I would feel too guilty.

“Once I have children, the kids come first. One thing at a time for me. Women can have it all, just not all at once. It’s too much if you’re doing everything at once,” she said.

After the stage farewell, she sang a version of the single “Big Girls Don’t Cry” from her solo album, The Dutchess.

In a hint that Fergie plans to continue with a solo career she worked in her solo material along with Peas songs.

The group has been playing together since 2003 and are at the top of their game.

They performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in February before 111 million viewers, a record for the game.

“We have to respect Ferg. Ferg is our sister. She definitely wants to have a family, and we’re happy for her,” said Taboo.

“You can’t neglect. You can’t not respect people’s wishes. As our sister, we have to give her space,” he said.
