Win Butler, the frontman for Canadian band Arcade Fire, led the indie-rock band in a 20-song set last night at The Forum in Los Angeles that mixed songs from their 2013 album Reflektor, with artfully arranged covers.

Reflektor is the band’s fourth studio album. The double disc was released last October to wide critical acclaim.

It scored an 80 out of a 100 rating on Metacritic, which tracks mainstream music reviews, and Rolling Stone gave it four-and-a-half out of five stars, which puts it in rock classic range.

The album is noted for its “richly textured, percussive” sound, according to The Los Angeles Times. Butler, 34, collaborated with band co-founder and wife Régine Chassagne, who is Haitian, to come up with the sound.

“It’s something we felt right away as a band,” said Butler about the album, which marks a different direction for the band.

The band also includes brother Will Butler, Richard Reed Parry, Tim Kingsbury and Jeremy Gara.

Beside playing such hits as “Joan of Arc,” LBGT anthem “We Exist,” and “Haiti,” the band also included covers from such bands as Guns ‘n Roses and Jane’s Addiction.

The band played two shows at the Forum and will be heading to Brooklyn later in the month. Check out the video below of the band playing “Rebellion (Lies)” from their Aug. 1 show.
