The 51-year-old singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and actor, spans genres, from rock, blues, soul, R&B, funk and jazz, to reggae, hard rock, psychedelic, pop and folk.

His range and innovation have been hallmarks of his career. During his heyday in the late 1990s, Kravitz won the Grammy for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance four years in a row. (1999-2002).
His new disc features spectacular live performances of some of the hottest tracks from his legendary career. They include “Fly Away,” “American Woman,” “It Ain’t Over ’Til It’s Over,” “Let Love Rule” and “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”
“I am a solo artist, but ‘Just Let Go’ reflects on the relationship with my band and the camaraderie that develops between us while out on the road,” says Kravitz.
“The film takes a deeper look into what it’s like to be on tour and also gives an intimate perspective into my life with my band, both on and off the stage.”
The disc also includes new material from his latest studio album, Strut, on his own label, Roxie Records.

The album is a real rock ’n roll that hits hard. Most importantly, it harks back to his first record, which many say is his best. His début album, Let Love Rule, combined rock and funk with a ’60s psychedelic vibe.
Kravitz inherited his artistry from his parents.
Lenny was born in Manhattan to Roxie Roker, an actress best known as Helen Willis in the ’70s hit sitcom “The Jeffersons.” His father, Sy Kravitz, was a noted NBC television news producer.
He began playing drums at three and had his heart set on being a musician by the time he was five, according to his bio.
He’s written songs for such artists as Madonna and Aerosmith and produced an album for Johnny Depp’s former partner Vanessa Paradis. In addition, he’s recorded 10 studio albums.
“Just Let Go” features 12 performances artfully inter-cut with raw, behind-the-scenes clips, interviews and intimate rehearsal footage.

The film sheds insight on the artist’s creative process, which drives his music and the aesthetic quality of the presentation that characterize his electrifying concerts, according to producer Eagle Rock records.
As a Bonus Feature, the disc contains fully-unedited live versions of the songs “Sister,” “Always on the Run,” “Sex,” “I Belong to You,” “New York City” and “Let Love Rule.”
Kravitz is a passion player for sure, clearly choosing art over commerce over his long career. This is a great package.
