Millie Bobby Brown was thrust into the spotlight with her breakout role in the Netflix teen drama “Stranger Things,” but she’s struggled with fame and how it’s tearing up her life.

The 15-year-old actress finds it hard to deal with the fact that strangers instantly recognize her wherever she goes, and admitted she doesn’t always look “presentable”.

“I don’t think it will ever be a normal thing,” she told E! News.

“Some days I go out and I make sure I look somewhat presentable and some days, I look like an absolute hot mess.”

While Millie thinks she’s always been confident, she insisted she’s had to take time to figure out who she is and to be comfortable with heself.

Asked where her confidence came from, she replied: “I think I came out the womb… singing Lizzo.

“It’s good to be confident and to know who you are but it’s okay to also not know who you are. It’s a fun journey.”

Meanwhile, the British star also harbors dreams of stepping behind the camera. She joked she’ll be hiring some handsome leading men when she does start directing.

She laughed: “If I could direct anyone, I would want to direct Leonardo DiCaprio just so I can look at his face all day. Or Timothée Chalamet, just kidding!”

Yeah, she’s a little man crazy.

Millie previously revealed she wants to make social media a “happy place”.

“Social media is one of the best places in the world and one of the worst – it counteracts itself. It sends such amazing messages; it raises awareness of situations that need to be heard. Nobody should say it isn’t a platform for positivity and change.

“But then there are some really heartbreaking things to happen on social media and I have dealt with a lot of bullying online.”

Compared to many teen stars who find fame at a young age, Millie has managed, for the most part, to keep it together.

So far there have been no wild stories about drug and alcohol abuse.

In “Stranger Things Season 3,” plenty of monsters were lurking, but the teen stars appear to have another beast to slay–puberty.

The season was more like “16 Candles” with a spooky alternative universe thrown in.

She raised eyebrows last year when she turned her powers of observation on her castmates during a forum at PaleyFest. And, she noted, they’re all a budding bunch of divas.

She says she and her castmates “argue all the time.”

Millie raised red flags of her own last January when “Stranger Things” co-star David Harbour said she was letting fame go to her head and growing up way too fast, putting her in “extreme danger.”

“She is in the cross-hairs of something extremely dangerous that nobody seems to be paying attention to,” Harbour told London’s Daily Mail.

“I think the developing mind of someone who gets this famous and has still a brain that is not fully developed is an extremely difficult thing to navigate, and I hope that she gets the help that she needs,” he added.

Of course, she was just 13 during the first season of the show. It appears she’s done some growing up since then.

“Someone with 11 million followers thinking about their persona to the world at 13, 14 years of age is terrifying to me,” said Harbour, who plays the protective Sheriff Jim Hopper on the show.
