  • Alex_Scarsgard“True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgård, all 6’4″ of him, got in a shoving match at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, Calif., April 17 after a run-in with a paparazzo.

Skarsgård, 33, was photographed being restrained by cops after a photographer kept snapping pictures of him and girlfriend, Kate Bosworth, at the festival.

Photos show Skarsgård, with his fists clenched, being held back by police. The “True Blood” star eventually calmed down and went about his business for the rest of the evening, arm-in-arm with galpal Bosworth, 27.

Earlier in the day, Skarsgård and Bosworth were spotting holding hands and hugging while enjoying the festivities.

At one point, the fit, muscular Alexander hoisted Kate up on his shoulders so she could get a better view of a musical act on stage.

The hulking Swede is featured in the May issue of Details magazine, ahead of the June 13 premiere of “True Blood’s” third season.

Alexander became an international sex symbol in 2008 after being cast as the brooding vampire Eric Northman in the HBO series.

The first season of the hit series received widespread critical acclaim and won several awards, including a Golden Globe and an Emmy.

Alexander, who plays a 1,000-year-old Viking vampire, says Eric’s appeal is partly due to his predatory hyper-masculine personality.

“[Eric is] a hunter,” Skarsgård has said. “He knows how strong he is, how powerful he is, and he really enjoys that. He enjoys seeing fear in people’s eyes.”

Seems like some of those same traits where on display at Coachella.
