Harvard Law Prof Urges California, New York to Challenge Presidential Election

Harvard law school professor Lawrence Lessig has sparked an effort to urge attorneys general in California and New York to challenge the presidential election in the U.S. Supreme Court, arguing the current system of allocating Electoral College votes deprives voters of their constitutional rights. A group called Taxpayers for Fairness has filed a petition on the site change.org, urging New York AG Eric Schneiderman to take action on behalf of New York voters....

Donald Trump Won Big in Nation’s New Post-Industrial ‘Heroin Beltway’ — Study

Donald Trump out-polled 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney among the most desperate Americans living in the “new post-industrial heroin beltway,” according to a new study. Tragically, the poor are likely to fare even worse under his administration. The Penn State University Department of Agricultural, Economics, Sociology and Education conducted the study, examining voting patterns in 3,106 counties with the highest drug, alcohol and suicide mortality rates in the nation....

Jill Stein Takes Voter Recount Campaign to Trump Tower in New York (Video!)

Jill Stein, the Green Party presidential candidate who is leading efforts to force vote recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan, took her campaign to Trump Tower in New York City today (Dec. 4) to provide an update on her efforts to ensure accurate vote counts. Donald Trump’s Darkest Election Legacy May Be Lasting Distrust of Voting Process

Donald Trump’s claims about a “rigged election” may be one of the darkest legacies of his presidential campaign. When citizens, by and large, can not trust the voting process by which leaders are elected, the very foundation of our democracy is threatened with collapse. Trump’s vote fraud claims, which continue to roil two weeks after the election, are a case study in the dangers of irresponsible campaign rhetoric....

Why Jill Stein’s Recount Matters; Donald Trump Has No One to Blame But Himself

Jill Stein, the Green Party candidate who probably cost Hillary Clinton the election, is now trying to redeem herself by organizing recounts in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Donald Trump is protesting, naturally, but he has no one to blame but himself. Trump is the projected winner in all three states, although Michigan’s final tally is still out. Clinton needs to overturn the results in all three states to win the Electoral College, which votes for president on Dec. 19....

After Shaky Victory, Donald Trump Now Faces ‘Rigged Election’ Allegations

As Donald Trump’s deficit in the popular vote edges north of 1.5 million votes, the President-elect is now being confronted with election rigging allegations over Republican efforts to suppress Democratic votes, leading to his razor-thin victories in key swing states and the presidential election overall. The election was remarkable on its face, because it cut against almost every poll, which predicted Democrat Hillary Clinton would win key swing states like North Carolina and Florida. But she didn't....
