Barbara Palvin, the stunning Hungarian model who famously blew off Justin Bieber, has just joined the elite ranks of Victoria’s Secret Angels. She called it her “ultimate career high.”
Palvin, 25, was head-over-heels about the deal. “I’ve been keeping this a secret for three months.It’s the ultimate career high!” she gushed to People.

“When I was 13, I saw the VS Fashion Show and said, ‘One day I will get there.’ Three or four years later, I shot with Victoria’s Secret PINK for the first time,” she said.
“Now, I feel like I was destined to do this. Victoria’s Secret caught me at the perfect time, because I’m finally happy with myself and my body.”
The 25-year-old model has worked with the lingerie giant intermittently for over six years.

One of her most memorable appearances in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show came in 2012. A year earlier, she’d talked about her interest in him in a video and mildly dissed then-girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Justin, who performed at the show that year, made his move backstage at the annual fashion show. Bieber was said to be in high flirt mode. He was also spotted the next day with Palvin catching Broadway’s Lion King, according to The New York Post.
The tabloids ran wild with rumors the two had hooked up. But Palvin shut down the reports, with a not so gentle diss of the pop star.
It was her first show for the brand. She’s been featured in other campaigns and on the runway. The 2018 show was her latest appearance.
But now, she’s at a whole new level. As an angel, she’ll be featured with the likes of Angels Elsa Hosk, Romee Strijd, Jasmine Tookes and Kristen Stewart’s ex-flame Stella Maxwell.
Palvin’s actor/boyfriend Dylan Sprouse was almost as surprised as she was. “He couldn’t believe it. Then he was like, ‘I told you. I knew it.'” she said.
Her parents were next to get the news.
“They were half-asleep, but they were freaking out. First they thought something was wrong, but then I repeated myself and they were so happy. My mom cried a little bit, and my dad fist-bumped my shoulder, like he usually does.”
The brunette beauty posted a video on Instagram announcing the much-anticipated news on Thursday (Mar. 14). She shared a clip showcasing her previous work with lingerie brand.
She wrote: “OFFICIALLY A @victoriassecret ANGEL ! I don’t know where to begin but I’ll try : I never thought it would happen and it has exceeded all my expectations. I’m very excited to announce that I’m officially a @victoriassecret ANGEL ! Thank you for believing in me.”
She added:
“There were times where I let my own thoughts hold me back and it was a hard climb away from those but my family , my team, Ed, and everyone at VS they were always there to support me and uplift me. I am proud to represent Hungary, and most importantly, all of you in this new chapter of my life! Thank you all so much again”
Palvin is not only beautiful but exotic as well. She was born and raised in Hungary and was discovered on the streets of Budapest in 2006 at the age of 13.
Like all budding Eastern European models too young for catwalks in New York and Paris, she was shipped off to Asia to work in Japan and other Far East countries.

British Vogue editor Miranda Almond called her “absolutely exquisite” and compared her to a young Brooke Shields and supermodel Natalia Vodianova.
The Hungarian model was 2016’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue “rookie of the year.”
In 2012, her breakout year, she became an ambassador for L’Oreal Paris, but her appearance in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show that November put her over the top.
Palvin cites Vodianova and UK supermodel Kate Moss as inspirations, but it’s clear she has her own brand of exotic beauty.
