  • Black-Eyed Pea Will.i.am taps some overseas talent for the video for his new song, “Check It Out.” That’s not Fergie strutting about. UK sex siren Cheryl Cole, a good buddy, lends her body to the production. Nicki Minaj joins her.

The song is a take off of the 1979 hit “Video Killed The Radio Star” by one-hit wonder British synthpop/New Wave group The Buggles.

Cole is featured in the video wearing a tight body suit and latex leggings. (Has to be uncomfortable).

Cole is a huge star in the UK but relatively unknown in the United States, and her appearance in the video sparked rumors she was about to make a big move here.

Will.i.am was reportedly lending a hand to boost her profile on the eve of a seven-figure record deal with Universal Music. ButCole will only sing on the UK version of the video, according to London’s Daily Mail.

Instead Minaj is the talk of the U.S. music industry. She’s set to release her debut album Pink Friday on Nov. 19

Cole collaborated with Will.iam on both of her albums. Check out the video.
