  • Rapper Lil Wayne didn’t waste a lot of time getting back to business after finishing his time in New York’s Riker’s Island prison. “How to Love” is his first video for his first new album The Carter IV.

Wayne, 28, real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., was sentenced to a year in prison in March 2010 on a handgun conviction and with good behavior, he got out of prison in last November.

“Wayne picked up right where he left off with a 15-hour recording session,” MC’s videographer, DJ Scoob Doo, told MTV News exclusively

“How to Love” is an emotional ballad about a “beautiful” girl who has never known love because she “dates” evil men, becomes a stripper and then has sex for money.

It’s a morality play and a departure for Weezy, who has been more about slammin’ back ho’s than getting righteous about women.

Men take a hard rap in this tune, from abusive boyfriends, an absentee father and johns only interested in sex.

In fact, many of Lil Wayne songs treat women like meat. But maybe that’s what prison does to you. It makes you see a different perspective.

After initially pleading not guilty to a July 2007 arrest for possessing a gun, Wayne changed his plea to guilty in exchange for a reduced 12-month sentence.

“I look at things as ‘Everything is meant to be.’ I know it’s an experience that I need to have if God’s putting me through it,” he told Rolling Stone magazine.

You can buy the delux album through an Improper special offer at amazon.com for $13.99, and save $3.99, or 22 percent off the retail price. You can download the album, too. Click the link above.
