Chris Brown is furious at major US stores that are refusing to stock his latest album, apparently because of his conviction for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in February. The R&B songstress was left cut, bruised and unconscious, while Brown fled the scene.
Brown vented his anger in bitter Twitter posts blasting stores that refuse to sell his new album Graffiti.
He wrote: “I’m tired of this s**t. major stores are blackballing my CD. Not stocking the shelves and lying to customers. what the f**k do I gotta do?”
Apparently someone got word to Brown that he shouldnt’ be biting the hand that feeds him, or will ultimately feed him. But that didn’t stop him from going off.
“WTF… yeah I said it and I aint retracting s**t.,” he later added. “I’m not biting my tongue about s**t else… The industry can kiss my a*s.”
Chris, 20, put his career in jeopardy after his attack on Rihanna, 21, following a pre-Grammy Awards party. Despite numerous apologies, he is still facing a backlash.
But at 20, he still has a long career ahead of him, and should cool his anger and look at things in the long-term.
The childish outburst seemed to confirm that he still has anger management issues that led to the assault. He was ordered to carry out 80 hours of community labor, undergo 12 months of domestic violence counselling and received five years probation for the incident.
He also has to stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna for the next five years, which in retrospect seems like a good idea. His tirade suggests he hasn’t learned a thing, despite vowing to “learn from his behavior.”
“Domestic violence is totally wrong whatever the circumstances, no exceptions,” he said after the guilty plea. “I’m only 20. This is a bad mistake I made, but one that I’m not denying nor running away from. I don’t believe I should let it shatter my life.
“I’m owning up to the wrongs I’ve done and am working on myself. I’m trying to find the positive amid the negative. I’m urging people to learn from what I did and not take the same route.
“If I do that – act as an example – then I feel I have no reason to go through the rest of my life with my head hanging down.” s
He needs to take his own advice.
