Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton teamed up for rock anthem ‘I Love Rock ‘n Roll’ to open the show.

Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton, showed why they’re coaches on NBC’s “The Voice,” with a rousing rendition of “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” to open Season Five of the reality competition series.

“The Voice” has moved ahead of the pack of reality music competitions like “The X Factor” and “American Idol.”

It draws its popularity from its less confrontational show format and the coach’s star power. The put it on display in their performance, including a kicking guitar solo by Levine, who fronts the indie rock band, Maroon 5.

The show was just honored at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards Show, picking up a trophy for “Outstanding Reality-Competition Series.” It bested nine-time winner “The Amazing Race.”

Aguilera fronted for the impromptu band, looking fabulous with her stunningly well-toned body. With a five-octave vocal range, she had no trouble going low to match the boys.
