Justin Bieber released a new track today, ‘Heartbreaker,’ inspired by Selena Gomez.
Bieber and Gomez famously began dating in 2011 when the appeared together in February at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
In early November last year,Bieber and Gomez called it quits after nearly two years together. They made a brief run at reconcilation but this past January they had broken up again, although they remain friends.
Justin and Selena spent time together in a confirmed sighting over the Fourth of July holiday. But she has let it be known that she is single.
In the song, Justin laments that he let the object of his affection get away and regrets it.

“It’s a song for people going through a heartbreak — like I was when I wrote it,” says the Biebs.
“It means so much to me to be able to share what I was, and still am going through, with my fans. I’m very proud of this song and I hope it gives my fans some insight into my heart.”
