Justin Bieber may be lout but he’s sticking to his promise to release a new song every week as part of his “Music Mondays” series. His latest “Bad Day,” is another weeper that features Justin’s falsetto voice soaring on the high notes as he signs about love gone wrong.

The tune features mainly guitar with an R&B sound that actually suits Justin well.

In that regard, it’s very similar lyrically and stylistically to his previously released song “Recovery.” They’re both a more sophisticated sound for the pop singer.

The songs are reportedly inspired by his break up with Selena Gomez. He sings about getting let down pretty hard during the break up. Apparently, she cut him off pretty decisively. Justin sings:

No I didn’t think you would let me down that easy (oh no, girl)
And I didn’t think it was over
    Until you walked away
    Like it was nothing, baby

Justin expresses that he knew what he did was wrong and understands why he was kicked to the curb, but he expected more, like a “goodbye.”

So far, the “Music Mondays” series includes “Bad Day,” “Recovery,” “Heartbreaker,” “All That Matters,” and “Hold Tight.”

For his part, he says the songs are the most personal he’s ever sung and represent his feelings in musical form.
