Miley Cyrus couldn’t keep her top on during her MTV Unplugged performance earlier in the week, drawing protests from some parents.

Miley Cyrus spiced up her MTV Unplugged special with a sexy striptease and some heavy grinding with Madonna, rousing the ire of parents’ groups, again, because the network caters largely to an impressionable teen audience.

The event was supposed to be low key, with musicians playing acoustic instruments instead of jarring amplified guitars, keyboards and drums.

And for the most part it was, until Miley, 21, took the stage wearing a torn, unbuttoned denim jacket with only a string bikini top underneath and equally distressed low-riding jeans.

During her duet with Madonna, the dancing turned dirty.

When Madonna joined her on stage for a medley of “Don’t Tell Me” and “We Can’t Stop,” Miley dropped her jacket to her waist revealing her hot body and low-riding jeans.

The two singers came face-to-face and did a provocative grind together before Madonna dropped down to Miley’s crotch.

When they segued to “We Can’t Stop,” one of the songs that caused all the trouble at the MTV-Video-Music-Awards in August, they twerked each other. Then, Miley made a spanking motion on Madonna’s backside.

“A lot of what [Madonna] represented for me is what I try to represent to girls now,” Cyrus said in an interview. “Not being afraid of sexuality and really being who you want to be and doing what you want to do.”

Miley put on another little striptease during her song “SMS” and her jacket eventually came all the way off.

The show aired Wednesday (Jan. 29) at 9-pm, a time when most young teens were still likely to be up and watching.

The conservative Parents Television Council, which acts as a television watchdog, notes that MTV is the most recognized network among young adults from age 12 to 24. Most are female.

The Council has been in a running battle with the cable network over the content of its programming and has even complained to Congress.

It also led the charge against Miley’s provocative performance at the MTV VMAs.

They are incensed with the network again over Miley’s Unplugged performance, according to a source close to the group. The group charges that Miley exploits young women and sends a wrong message about sex.
