Ariana Grande flashed her midriff at fans in a ’60s inspired go-go outfit, complete with boots, as she performed on stage at the 102.7 KIIS FM’s 2014 Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles. Grande also wore her Kabbalah string.

The petite 20-year-old singer and actress turned to the mystical Jewish sect last November after upbraiding the Pope.

“I was born Roman Catholic but I lost faith when the Pope decided to tell me everything I loved and believed in was wrong,” she told London’s Metro newspaper.

Other prominent Kabbalah followers include Madonna and Ashton Kutcher. Ariana apparently was serious and appears to have kept the faith.

The scarlet or crimson string is supposed to ward off misfortune brought about by the “evil eye,” according to Kabbalah custom. It’s typically knotted seven times and represents the red string that was wound around Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem.

During the concert, Iggy Azalea joined her on stage to perform their new hit “Problem.” She was followed by Big Sean who sang his duet with Ariana, “Right There”

Ariana will turn 21 next month, June 6.
