  • Lorde earned solid reviews for her performance at Riverstage last night (July 20) in Brisbane, Australia, working her way through all 13 songs from her new album Pure Heroine without a hitch, unlike her stop in Perth, July 5.

The New Zealand teen singing sensation was called “a commanding presence, a force to be reckoned with,” by The Sydney Morning Herald after her July 15 stop in Melbourne, Australia.

Her stage shows have been minimalist. Usually, it’s just her standing alone in front of a mic on a darkened stage highlighted by cool blue light.

As she sings, she goes through her signature dance moves that delight her audiences.

The 17-year-old’s tour swing down under has gone smoothly, except for a rough patch in Perth, Australia, July 5. She got sick, 25 minutes into her set and had to stop singing.

“Perth, I’m so sorry, can you give me one minute? I’m just not feeling very well,” she said from the stage.

But there was no sign of illness or fatigue last night. Check out her video below and be sure to follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest music news from the road.
