One Direction, or what’s left of the boy band, dropped a new song out of the blue called “Drag Me Down.” Is it a veiled reference to departed member Zayn Malik? The tabs are sure to play it that way.

The surprise release was posted on the music streaming service Spotify today (July 31) and listed on iTunes.

“Drag Me Down” is the first track by the band since Malik’s surprise departure in March. It’s being tagged as the lead single from the band’s fifth studio album. It’s due in November in time for the holiday shopping season.

Band members Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Thomlinson announced the news in a Twitter blitz early this morning (East Coast time)

One Direction is touring the United States on its “On The Road Tour.” They will return continue their trek in the UK in September.

The band is expected to introduce the song live on stage at its concert at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Check out an audio of the song below from spotify and a video of the band introducing the new single.
