Ariana Grande is making a bold move into fashion, now that her music career is established, but she had to go all the way to London to do it. She covers the UK edition of Vogue magazine in a stunning display of her sexuality and sensuality.
Grande has a special bond with England following the bombing at one of her concerts in Manchester in May last year. The singer had just finished performing a sold-out concert when a suicide bomber detonated the bomb, killing 22 people and injuring 500 more.
Grande returned later to perform a memorial concert, but she didn’t emerge from the attack unscathed.
“It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss.” she told the magazine.
“But, yeah, it’s a real thing. I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of it, as well. Time is the biggest thing. I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.”
Grande is scheduled to release her fourth studio album Sweetener next month.
“I think a lot of people have anxiety, especially right now,” she says. “My anxiety has anxiety… I’ve always had anxiety. I’ve never really spoken about it because I thought everyone had it, but when I got home from tour it was the most severe I think it’s ever been.”
The lead single, “No Tears Left to Cry,” was released in April and debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart.
A promotional single, “The Light Is Coming,” featuring Nicki Minaj, was released last month along with the second single, “God Is a Woman” due out tomorroe (July 13).
For her Vogue debut photo shoot she posed for Craig McDean wearing a Chanel autumn/winter 2018 lace dress with jeweled straps. Kate Phelan handled styling and with hair by Chris Appleton and make-up by Mark Carrasquillo.
