  • For four nights Beyonce held court at the Roseland Ballroom in New York like the reigning queen of pop that she is. Tickets for all four performances sold out in 24 seconds. But it’s all been captured on a four disc DVD set.

“Live At Roseland: The Elements Of 4,” captures Beyonce’s full force and fury in a year in which she dominated music with her hit album 4, and stole the predominantly rock, Glastonbury Music Festival.

Beyonce performed four sold-out shows in top form starting on Aug. 14, wearing a skimpy, sequined mini-dress with a strategically placed swath of cloth over her mid-section.

She announced her baby news not long after on Aug. 28 at the MTV Video Music Awards.

“The whole time I definitely was thinking, ‘Everyone knows, everyone can see,”‘ Beyonce, 30, said in November at a special screening of the DVD concert film.

Beyonce included hits from her previous albums and was backed by her former girl group Destiny’s Child.

On stage, four female dancers and a 20-piece female band including a horn and orchestra section, provided the atmospherics.

Beside her performance, the DVD set includes footage from rehearsals, Beyonce’s childhood and photos of her wedding gown.

Her DVD set was released Nov 29 and the collection features the full concert, bonus offstage footage, a 20-page booklet and a video anthology that includes seven music videos from 4.

The DVD was initially sold exclusively at Wal-Mart, much to the displeasure of smaller retailers, but has since gone into wide release.
