  • Nelly Furtado shows what big… really big, really means in a new video for her single “Big Hoops (Bigger the Better).” She not only means big earrings but also growing into the 50-foot woman, and maybe some other, ahem, big things as well.

The video is directed by “X” who has also helmed clips for Drake and Justin Bieber.

It was shot in downtown Los Angeles and Nelly, 33, actually climbs up on stilts for part of the performance. The Canadian singer-songwriter, record producer and actress ends up towering over buildings as the song reaches a climax.

The video also features a performance by World Champion Native American hoop dancers.

The song is off Furtado’s fourth English-language studio album, The Spirit Indestructible, which is set for release on June 19 by Interscope Records.

She’s also working on a full-length Portuguese album, as a followup to her Spanish effort, Mi Plan. She received the Latin Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Album for the latter.

She’ll also be performing on the Billboard Music Awards live on ABC May 20 and then plans to tour in support of the album.
