  • Christina Aguilera is hitting all the bases in her comeback bid. She appeared on Jay Leno last night (Nov. 17) where she belted “Bound to You.” And, she heats up the December issue of InStyle’s UK edition with some ultra-sexy photos.

Dressed in a leopard print dress and black leather jacket, the Burlesque star, 29, tosses her signature platinum blonde hair and turns up the “come hither’ looks in the black-and-white spread.

She will also make a guest appearance on the season finale of “Dancing With The Stars” on Monday (Nov. 22). But is it enough?

The appearances are aimed at promoting her first starring role in the movie “Burlesque,” opposite Cher.

She and has a lot riding on the movie. It’s critical to her comeback and future on the big screen.

Aguilera put her career on hold for four years to have and care for her baby.

She launched her comeback earlier this year with her album Bionic. But despite her dynamic stage presence and soaring vocals, the album has sold poorly.

“Bionic,” debuted in June to mixed reviews and sold only 110,000 copies in its first week of release.

That must have been hard to swallow for a singer who has sold more than 16 million albums and won five Grammy awards.

On top of that, she canceled a tour to support the album and her marriage hit the skids.

On Leno, she talked about about motherhood and her split from husband Jordan Bratman.

“It’s hard, definitely. It’s hard just even being a working mom and trying to balance and juggle everything on your plate,” she said.

“I like to be the first thing [my son Max] wakes up to in the morning and the last thing he goes to bed at night seeing and singing him his lullabies before bed, it means the world to me to be able to do that.”

But now her career is on the line. “Burlesque” opens in theaters Nov. 24. It could be her swan song, or the beginning of a great second act for a talented singer.
