  • pink-video-frontPink sings with Nate Reuss in her new video, but just for the record, that’s her husband Carey Hart in the steamy love scenes for her latest single “Just Give Me a Reason.”

Pink, 33, real name Alicia Beth Moore, is going through a career resurgence after taking time off to have a baby.

Her comeback album, The Truth About Love, shot to No. 1 on the pop charts, even though it had been four years since her last studio album Funhouse, which also hit No. 1 and went double platinum. She released a greatest hits album in between the two.

Pink’s image has swung from the tough girl of pop to a more romantic and reflective persona since the birth of her child, and the mood is captured on her new video.

“Well, I was always considered butch,” Pink explains about her image in a new interview with Redbook magazine. “I’m totally comfortable with that. I know my strong points: I work hard, I have talent, I’m funny and I’m a good person.”

She spends most of time lying on a mattress either with husband Carey or an eerie teddy bear with glowing eyes. She sings the plaintiff ballad while tossing and turning as the bed and a singular wall seem to float in the clouds.

Pink alternates between a lacy bra and a gray sports bra with gray tights during her bedroom scenes alone and with Hart. Pink and her husband went through a rough patch while dating that resulted in a brief separation in 2003. They reconciled and were married in 2005.

The song seems to reflect that episode in her life as she pleads to “learn to love again.”
