Ed Sheeran dropped by the “Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show” in New York City yesterday (Apr. 11) and somehow got roped into singing an acoustic version of Beyonce’s sexy, dirty song “Drunk in Love.” Cool or creepy?

Someone should tell Ed that when a guy sings a song written and performed by a woman, the words can come out sounding kinda creepy.

Lyics like “Can’t keep your eyes off my fatty, daddy, I want you, na-na,” work well when lady Bey sings them. But Ed? The jury is out.

Sheeran was in the studio to promote his upcoming album X (pronounced “multiply”), when the subject of Beyonce’s song came up.

The UK singer said he did around 12 seconds of the song online, and got lots of requests for a full version.

He described in (tongue-in-cheek, we hope) as a “fun, happy song that’s going to make you groove.”

Ed gives the song a lot of soul, so maybe it’s a good thing.
