  • Mary-J-BligeMary J. Blige is all about the drama again. The diva R&B singer reportedly infuriated organizers and fans of a Florida jazz festival on over the weekend with her bizarre demands and a tardy stage performance.

The singer’s album No More Drama was a big hit, and supposedly signaled a change in Mary J’s life to a calmer more mature artist.

But her performance backstage at the Jazz in the Gardens concert at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium, was full of drama.

Blige was more than an hour late for her headlining slot, keeping fans waiting and sending the show over it’s alloted time at the stadium.

“Her handlers kept saying that she would ‘go onstage when she was ready’. But it was almost midnight when she got on, which took the entire festival into overtime,” a source told The New York Daily News.

But that’s only the half of it. Blige reportedly wouldn’t even get out of her limo until she could be assured that the entire back stage area was cleared of media people before she entered.

“While she sat in her limousine, her personal guards came into the press tent to clear out the area like they were the Secret Service.” the disgruntled source said.

“They first demanded that all print and online journalists be kic ked out because Mary didn’t want to take questions. They were acting like she was Michelle Obama or Queen Elizabeth.

“When Mary finally emerged from her car, she walked into the tent for literally two minutes wearing dark shades – even though it was night time.

“She struck one pose and then walked off without bothering to say a single word. Her antics were extreme and unwarranted.”

That sure doesn’t sound like the new Mary J. Blige.
