Peter Frampton Comes Alive Again on Album Release Anniversary

Peter Frampton released his seminal rock record, Frampton Comes Alive! some 35 years ago. It ushered in a new era in rock and earned him a spot on Time magazine’s cover. Unfortunately, he was quickly overshadowed by another emerging artist, Bruce Springsteen. As a result he may be under-appreciated today....

Led Zeppelin Kennedy Center Fete Rock Moment of Year (watch!)

Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson, better known as the duo “Heart” gave the rock performance of the year in my opinion during the Kennedy Center Honors for seminal rock band Led Zeppelin. Their rendition of “Stairway To Heaven,” with full orchestration and chorus moved Robert Plant to tears. It’s been a long time coming for the band, and for rock music. Plant, guitar virtuoso Jimmy Page and keyboardist John Paul Jones savored the moment....
