Janet Jackson is no Britney Spears. The 44-year-old singer, who is on a 35-date tour, looked totally buff on stage, with bulging biceps that rival Cameron Diaz, Madonna and Paris Hilton, who also are sporting more toned physiques.
Jackson play the Gibson Ampitheatre in Los Angeles last night (Apr. 14) to promote her Number Ones best of album with her current Up Close And Personal.
The tour kicked off in February and is worldwide. Janet looks like she spent a lot of time in the gym to make sure she was ready for the grueling trek.
Although she is 15 years older than Spears, who is 29, Jackson puts the pop queen to shame.
Spears has raised eyebrows because of her bloated look and stiff dancing in her latest video for “Til the World Ends.”
She’s about to launch her own tour in support of her Femme Fatale album.
Like Britney, Janet has struggled with weight gain and loss and was as much as 60 pounds heavier just four years ago.
“There was a time when I was so down and felt so unattractive and it lasted for a very, very long time. I used to bang my head against the wall,” she told Piers Morgan in a recent interview.

Madonna clearly set her eye on the greatest (at the time) and that was Michael. Madonna soon passed MJ in terms of creativity and putting on an amazing show. Her Blonde Ambition tour blew EVERYONE away include MJ and you could see her influence on him in his next tour. It is Madonna who holds the record for the solo artist with the highest money making tour her sexy Sticky and Sweet tour. The most sold out dates at Madison Square Garden. And Madonna has toured 5 times in the last 10 years..to great reviews and tix sales (regardless of the state of the touring industry OR the economy). In terms of Brit and Janet its Janet…in terms of the best of the best its Madonna.

Why is Britney even being mentioned!!?! Janet’s been in the entertainment business before Britney was even born and before any one knew Madonna. And I don’t care who is considered the queen (which most definitely isn’t Britney). The queen is whoever you consider to be your favorite (I vote for Janet). Besides that, Janet is a stand alone artist, no other musicians need to be mentioned in an article pertainig to her!!! After selling 100 million + records, she deserves it.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, MJ was notoriously known for not thinking much of Madonna. Michael only really did was repeat the Bad tour with his following two tours [Dangerous and HIStory] so I don’t know what so-called influence you’re talking about. To say she influenced Michael Jackson in any way possible is insulting. Michael’s influences were artists like James Brown and Jackie Wilson.
If anyone is the female MJ it is his sister, Janet. Rhythm Nation 1814 is a masterpiece. Michael himself said they are a lot alike. Look how well she keeps up with him in the Scream video. Hell, many people actually thought they were the same person at one point.
