Alicia Keys delivers a power video to go with her girl-power anthem “Girl on Fire.” The song is the first off her fifth studio album by the same name and the first since she gave birth to son Egypt Daoud Ibarr Dean in 2010.
Keys, 31, said the song was inspired by her son’s birth with husband Swizz Beatz. She said she hoped it would empower women.
But it’s focused on everyday women who must cope with raising children, keeping the house clean and in some cases working to support the family, typically all three. Music his her escape.
The song has been described as mid-tempo R&B and hip hop. Keys wrote it in collaboration with Jeff Bhasker, Salaam Remi and American rock guitarist Billy Squier.
Keys also shows off her post-baby body. She looks incredibly hot. The album is due out Nov 27. Check out the video below and click here to follow TheImproper on Twitter for more music updates.
