Rapper Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, is facing trial on aggravated assault charges.
The decision by the judge means there is enough “probable cause” to believe Mane, real name Radric Davis, committed the crime to send the case to trial.
The incident unfolded at the Harlem Nights club in Atlanta when the soldier tried to get a photo with the rapper. The solider said he asked a security guard if it was okay to ask the rapper to pose. But Gucci allegedly got belligerent and belted him with the bottle.

Davis turned himself into police Mar. 26 and remarkably was denied bond. He cool his heels in prison for two weeks while the court reviewed his case. Apparently, the judge felt he was a flight risk.
That could be because Davis, 33, was involved in a similar incident at a Philadelphia bar only two nights after the alleged Atlanta incident, The victim said the rapper punched him in the face, after he tried to congratulate him on his concert earlier in the evening.
Mane has a long list of run-ins with the law, including a murder charge that was later dropped because of insufficient evidence. Davis had pleaded no contest to a charge of aggravated assault in 2005 for assaulting a nightclub promoter, prior to the murder investigation.
He appears in the movie “Spring Breakers,” playing a thug. Archie “Big Arch,” and rival to drug dealing and part-time rapper Alien, played by James Franco. The movie also stars Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens.
He is due back in court today.
