Miley Cyrus shed her pot, booze and pasties image from her Bangerz days two years ago and seems to capture the sentiment in a new video for her song “Slide Away.”‘

Miley went on a three-year bender as pop’s baddest bad girl.

She shed her clothes and flaunted her sexuality.

Her notoriety exploded following her risque duet with the much-older Robin Thicke at the 2013 “MTV Video Music Awards.” Her wild run culminated with her worldwide Bangerz Tour in 2014 and Dead Petz album in 2015.

Then, she just as suddenly moved on. She settled down, when for a softer look, returned to her musical roots and got married.

She even shaved her famously hairy armpits.

Well, the marriage to Liam Hemsworth didn’t work out. Miley is single again, and seemingly switch hitting with a girlfriend.

The video seems to capture it all.

The clip opens at what looks like the day after a raging party. Beer bottles, a glitter ball, wine glasses… and Miley are captured floating in a pool.

The opening lyrics are about letting go.

Once upon a time, it was paradise
Once upon a time, I was paralyzed
Think I’m gonna miss these harbor lights
But it’s time to let it go

Miley is still wearing her gold lamé party dress and does a little walk of shame in the pool.

And what a party! The video cuts to scenes of a wild rager, but Miley’s just not into it.

I want my house in the hills
Don’t want the whiskey and pills
    I don’t give up easily
    But I don’t think I’m down

If there’s any doubt about where her head’s at, Miley sings, “Move on, we’re not 17.”

There also seems to be a reference to her failed marriage. The lyric “Back to the ocean, I’ll go back to the city lights” could be interpreted as a reference to her split with the Australian actor.

They met in 2009 on the set of the movie, “The Last Song,” which, ironically, was about a summer beach romance. Off screen, they married only last December. They announced their split in August — just days before she released “Slide Away”– amid allegations of infidelity.

When she revealed her image change in 2017, Miley rededicated herself to social causes and politics.

“I don’t think those people are going to listen to me when I’m sitting there in nipple pasties, you know?” she explained.

Miley seemed to come full circle when she expressed regret over her “Wrecking Ball” video which featured her without clothes.

It was her first real foray into nakedness and marked the beginning of her wild child streak. But she regrets it all now.

“I’m never living that down. I will always be the naked girl on a wrecking ball. I just licked the sledgehammer,” she said in a radio interview.

“I should have thought how long that was going to follow me around. That’s my worst nightmare – that being played at my funeral.”
