The song, written and produced by George Michael, has been covered by a slew of artists including Taylor Swift.
Ashley Tisdale, Hillary Duff, Arctic Monkeys, Miranda Cosgrove, Florence and the Machine and Kimberly Locke are also among the dozens of artists who have sang “Last Christmas” in one version or another.
Swift’s version, however, peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 2007.
Grande is probably best known for her role as Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon sitcom “Victorious, iCarly.” She’s reprising the role in a spin-off called “Sam & Cat.”

She’s also a Broadway veteran. She debuted in 2008 as Charlotte in hit show 13. But of late, she’s been focusing on jump-starting a singing career.
She released a video for “Baby I,” the lead single off her debut album Yours Truly in September. She went with a street party theme and a decidedly urban East LA vibe, although shes a pure pop princess.
As such, Grande plays the song pretty true to the Wham! original.
