Harry Styles and fellow One Direction boybanders, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne, returned to the UK music show X-Factor, where their careers began, to perform on the show’s season finale.

Harry seemed to take the lead as the band performed “Midnight Memories” off their new album at famed Wembley Arena.

The boy banders were also-rans on the show’s 2010 season. But show producer and music mogul Simon Cowell pulled the lads together to create the boy band shortly afterward. They debuted in the United States in March 2012 on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Since then, they’ve become teen idols with throngs of fans and controversial tabloid headlines. Harry mostly is in the spotlight for his sexual affairs, which include affairs with two women (one married) nearly twice his age. He’s also dated Taylor Swift.

Now Harry is supposedly getting on with Kim Kardashian half-sister, Kendall Jenner, although it’s hard to separate fact from tabloid fiction regarding their relationships.

The band picked up two awards, Video of the Year for “Best Song Ever” and the International Duo/Group of the Year, at the NRJ Music Awards in France. But Harry reportedly skipped the after-party so he could rendezvous with Kendall back in London.

Still, the duo say they are “just friends.”

Check out the band’s performance below, catch them again this week on the finale of the U.S. version of “X Factor” and follow TheImproper on Twitter for the latest updates on the boybanders.
