Ariana Grande Hints at Big Sean Relationship on Today Show (see)

Ariana Grande, one of the summer’s breakout artists, received a royal welcome on NBC’s “Today Show” this morning. Matt personally handled the interview and she sang four top songs from her new album.

Grande, 21, has been been on the road promoting her sophomore album My Everything, which has hit No. 1 in 80 countries.

She performed at the MTV Video Music Awards last weekend and took her act to “America’s Got Talent,” on Wednesday (Aug. 27)

Her debut studio album, Yours Truly, released last year, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard’s album chart, a feat last equaled by Kesha’s debut album Animal.

Ariana was very poised during the interview. Of course, Matt tossed mostly softballs, asking primarily about how she is handling the fame from the success of her music career.

Grande is actually an industry veteran. She starred in the Nickelodeon teen show “Victorious” as Cat Valentine. She got her own spin-off sitcom “Sam & Cat” in 2013. She’s also appeared on Broadway as a child actress.

Matt did his best to dig up some dish on her personal life. “You’re 21, you’re successful, you’re talented, you’re smart, you’re pretty… You know where I’m going here,” he said.

“I would imagine there are a lot of guys out there trying to get your attention,” he continued. “So, has anyone captured your attention?”

“Oh my goodness, ya’ll are putting me on the spot,” she replied.

Ariana was spotted holding hands with Detroit hip-hop artist Big Sean, 25, at the MTV VMAs, and the two are now widely considered an item.
