Justin Bieber and Cody Simpson collaborate on a new single ‘Home to Mama.’
Simpson and Bieber have been working on music since the summer with an eye on releasing a joint album.
It might be just what Bieber needs to jump-start his career, while the 17-year-old Simpson may finally get the recognition he craves as a teen idol.
In fact, it might be a sort of passing of the torch, since Bieber is trying to craft a more mature and more sophisticated sound.
Simpson telegraphed the release of the single on Twitter. “Aye @justinbieber you wanna give them a little something later today?” he wrote.
“How you digging us going back and forth in the outro from Justin’s vocal runs to my guitar licks?” he Tweeted after the release.
Bieber manager Scooter Braun also gave a shout out to Simpson on Twitter. “Very cool studio session turned into this. Very cool. Very talented,” he wrote.
