Cheryl Cole is promoting her new solo album Messy Little Raindrops and previewing some hot photos from the release, although photo shoots aren’t particularly the UK singer’s cup of tea, as it were, she says.

“I hate photoshoots,” the highly photogenic singer told the UK’s X magazine.”I despise them. I’m not a model. I don’t enjoy posing around for the camera.”

But she has model hot looks as her latest photos attest.

Cole recently said her group, Girls Aloud, would not be breaking up despite her latest solo effort.

“I started recording it back in February and there was a real process this time, much more than last time,” she explained. “I’m more excited now, I feel like I’ve found my feet. I know what I want from my album and it’s not as scary doing it on my own.”

Although she’s not that well known in the United States, she opened for the Black Eyed Peas tour last year, which she says helped her with her solo career.

The star also addressed rumors she is planning to move to America, following her widely publicized divorce from soccer player Ashley Cole.

“I haven’t got anything in place yet to go out to the US as it takes a lot of time to plan, although it is something I’d love to do, definitely,” she said in an interview.

“It’s pretty amazing that we get lots of US fanmail; it’s amazing to know there are people out there wanting the album.”

Cole landed atop the U.K. charts with her solo single “Promise This,” acing out Rihanna’s “Only Girl which earned the No. 2 spot.

Cole’s chart win follows last year’s chart-topping solo song “Fight For This Love.”
