  • Ke$ha is out to prove she is no one-hit wonder. Her new EP Cannibal was just released, with eight new tracks that are fueled with a euro dance beat that sent her hit “Tik Tok.” She also shows she’s all legs in a new photo spread in Complex magazine.

Despite her Madonna-esque, circa 1980s look, Ke$ha is the real deal. She claims to have scored a 1,500 on her SATs even as she dropped out of high school and wound up sleeping in a car at 17.

The budding pop star signed with Dr. Luke at age 18 and saw her debut album, Animal, go platinum.

She talked to Complex about her bizarre turn-ons, pop-star comparisons, and her thoughts on being with a woman. Yes, she swings both ways.

When it comes to fashion and men, Ke$ha likes the homeless look. She recently wore a garbage-bag dress to an awards show.

” I was trying to look super-hot. I like to poke fun at when people make fun of me, because I don’t take myself that seriously.

“People say I’m ‘garbage chic,’ so I thought I’d take it to the next level and make a garbage bag super fucking chic—and I succeeded!”

Ke$ha doesn’t flinch a bit when she’s compared to Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, and not in a nice way. The criticism is meant to mean she’s derivative, not original.

But in pop, who is? Besides, she doesn’t see it that way.

“I actually think that’s cool. Out of that group of chicks, I’m the new bitch on the block, so I’m still getting used to being compared to some of the biggest pop stars in the world, but I don’t take any offense to it. That just means people know my records.

It’s well known that Ke$ha is a Beastie Boy’s fan, but this big?

“Oh my god, Licensed to Ill. Being a woman is a little bit different, but you can hear how Animal was influenced by Licensed to Ill.

“It kind of made me feel that I’m a silly white girl, but I can still rap. I like to explore that side of music, especially my voice and what I have to say, so I feel like I owe a lot of my success to the Beastie Boys.
