Katy Perry and friends have been making the scene at the Coachella Music Festival and decided to record themselves goofing on Carly Rae Jepsen’s smash song “Call Me Maybe.”
The video was posted on YouTube this morning and features Katy and friends dancing, singing and goofing off to the smash.
Since Jepsen posted her video to the song on YouTube, the catchy tune has received more than 33 million views. Not surprisingly, Katy knew all of the words and sang along while the camera was running.
Jepsen, 26, a Canadian singer and songwriter, is a protege of fellow Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber.
Bieber and Selena Gomez led a passel of young Hollywood friends in a campy homemade shoutout to the up-and-coming singer for the same song in Feburary.
Ashley Tisdale and her new boyfriend, Martin Johnson, actress Sammy Droke, former “Hanna Montana” star Mateo Arias and Big Time Rush’s Logan Henderson, Kendall Schmidt and Carlos Pena, joined in the video.
Katy obviously was having a blast at the festival. She split from her husband Russell Brand last December and has been slowly getting on with her life.
“Well… @KatyPerry I have to say that you made my night!” Jepsen tweeted after seeing the video.
