The song is a follow-up to their monster hit, “Counting Stars,” off their 2013 album Native.
The album proved the band has staying power. It was released in March a year ago ending their hiatus. It became their most successful set to date.
The album debuted at number 4 on the charts, making it their first Top 10 album in the United States, according to Billboard.
“Love Runs Out” was recorded at Studio Faust Records in Prague and was released earlier this year. It didn’t make the original release on Native, but was intended to be the lead single.
It was added and became the second track on the album when it was re-release on April 14.
The band just wrapped up a 169-date tour that went global and ended in Russia.
