
The band, which formed in Athens, Ala., in 2009, consists of guitarist Heath Fogg, bassist Zac Cockrell, keyboardist Ben Tanner and drummer Steve Johnson.
They released their debut album, Boys & Girls, in 2013 and scored Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rock Performance for “Hold On” and Best Recording Package for their album.
Their rise has been almost meteoric since their album streamed live on YouTube in 2012. They made their debut appearance on Saturday Night Live in February 2013, performing “Hold On” and “Always Alright.”
They returned last night (Feb. 28) as a super group and sang “Don’t Wanna Fight,” the first single off their upcoming album. Titled Sound & Color, it’s set for release April 21.
