Carly Rae Jepsen, who got a big push from teen sensation Justin Bieber for her catchy song “Call Me, Maybe” is back with another single hoping to prove she’s no flash in the pan.
She teams up with Adam Young of electro-pop project Owl City for her new tune “Good Time.”
Not surprisingly, it’s a syrupy homogenized pop song with a steady dance beat that seems written for radio. Still it’s finger-snapping infectious an easy to sing along with, so it’s sure to get some traction at the beach this summer. Here’s a sample of the lyrics.

It’s always a good time”
And “It doesn’t matter when!
It’s always a good time then.”
Jepsen, 26, saw her first single rise to No. 1 on the pop charts, after getting a big push in a viral video from Justin Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez earlier this year. Jepsen also won and awards for best video and fav video for the song at the MuchMusic Video Awards in Canada.
She’ll likely be around as long as Justin is, since he signed her to manager Scooter Braun’s School Boy Records. He’s also done what appear to be he-performs-if-she-performs type deals to get her exposure.
Young is a multi-talented singer-songwriter, who can play several instruments. He created the Owl City project while experimenting with music in his parents’ basement.
Owl City also has its roots in social networking, developing a following on Myspace, He signed a record deal with Universal Republic in 2008.
