  • Justin Bieber looks stunned as he checks out his new car

Justin Bieber is enjoying the spoils of his career success. He moved into the ranks of the elite on his 18th birthday, after his manager bought him a rare, luxury hybrid sports car.

Bieber has big plans for the future. He wants to go into acting, he told Ellen DeGeneres today (Mar. 1). He also has a new single coming out this month. But for the moment, he’ll probably play with his new toy.

Bieber manager Scooter Braun presented the teen sensation with a Fisker Karma, a sleek electric/gas powered car produced in Finland that sells for a base price of $95,900.

The car can accelerate from zero-to-60 mph in just 5.9 seconds and will run electric power for up to 50 miles before switching over to a generator driven by a turbocharged gasoline engine. It reportedly gets 100 miles to the gallon.

“You work really really hard,” Braun said. “I always yell at you, ‘Don’t get anything flashy!’ You know, we’re not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule.”

“We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you’re on the road you are always environmentally friendly. And we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out.

“I think you know where I’m going, and you’re kind of freaking out right now. That’s a Fiskar Karma.”

“That’s for me?! That’s crazy!” said Bieber, who grew up poor in Canada, raised by a single mother.

Leonardo DiCaprio is among a handful of individuals who actually own the car, which just went into production. Others have been wait-listed, including luminaries like Al Gore and Colin Powell, according to People.

Bieber new single, “Boyfriend,” will be out March 26. It will be on his upcoming album Believe.
