“American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson is pulling up roots in her Texas hometown and selling her sprawling 56-acre estate in nearby Mansfield, Texas, although there is some question over the price and listing details.
Clarkson, 30, has priced the 6,880-square-foot, traditional style home either at $1.495 million or $3.545 million, depending on the listing site. Web site zillow.com estimates the price at a more modest $1.27 million.
The property is situated on 56.8 acres or 14 acres, according to separate listings, which may have something to do with the price differential. Whatever the case, the home has four bedrooms and five bathrooms, plus a lap pool and diving pool, a large gym and theater room.

The house was built in 1993, and Clarkson bought in 2008. She has reportedly added a pond, the pools and walking trails on the property. She kept several animals there, including dogs, horses and pigs.
Clarkson was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and grew up in the small town of Burleson, a suburb of Fort Worth. Mansfield a town with a population of just over 56,000 is also located near Forth Worth. The town was the scene of an ugly racial incident in 1956 that drew national attention.
Local officials refused to comply with a federal court order to desegregate town schools. The town defiantly held out until 1965 and was the last public school system in the United States to integrate.
CNN, however, named it 24th on its list of 100 best places to live in the United States in 2010.
Kelly is dating Brandon Blackstock, the 35-year-old son of manager, Narvel Blackstock. “It is killing me. I’m trying to write a tough song and it is coming out like butterflies and rainbows,” she told People about the relationship.
