Taye Diggs and son Walker Diggs were among the celebrities and their families who turned out for the premiere of Disneynature’s latest animal documentary “Monkey Kingdom,” a film about a monkey troupe living among ancient ruins in Southeast Asia.

Conservationist Dr. M. Sanjayan provides a tour of the monkey’s domain in the heavily forested area where the Macaque monkeys now reside.

The troupe has a complex social organization and the ancient ruins provide a perfect sanctuary for their group. The film focuses on Maya, a blonde-bobbed monkey and her newborn child.

Their longtime home, known as Castle Rock is taken over by powerful troupe of neighboring monkeys, forcing Maya’s family to look for a new habitat to raise her young son Kim.
