Kristen Stewart was an explosion of kandy-colored metal flake in a beaded mini-dress that mixed glamour with her androgynous look at the “Charlie’s Angels” LA premiere

Stewart was wearing Kevin Germanier, a Swiss designer who specializes in “sustainable fashion.”

His autumn/winter 2018 collection was heavy on sequined and beaded glam. Many of the fabrics were made with discarded beads once destined for landfill.

That may have explained Stewart’s choice. She’s been under contract to Chanel since 2013, and has typically worn the brand’s clothes in high-profile public appearances.

The fact that she’s been supporting Germanier is an interesting twist.

Her outfit was sexy enough. The skirt was high-waist and ended mid-calf, exposing a flash of her midriff. Her cropped top was long sleeved with a crew-neck that show no flesh, unlike her saucy co-stars.

She accessorized with dark blue heels. Her most prominent features were here spiky bleached-blonde streaked hair and heavy black cat’s eye eyeliner and eye shadow. She wore Chanel’s Rogue Allure Velvet Extreme in Rose Nocturne lipstick, makeup artist Jillian Dempsey said on social media.

Stewart switched up her look along with her sexuality in 2015 in a string of fashion mag editorials. Although she was always a jeans and tee-shirt kind of girl, she’s been embracing androgynous fashion since posing in man-boy clothes for designer Stella McCartney.

She added a pair of dark blue heels to the outfit and went easy on the accessories since her dress was so glittery it didn’t need anything to detract from it.

Stewart wore a similar outfit sequined outfit at the 2019 Venice Film Festival in August, where she was promoting her film “Seberg.”

That dress was a full-on sequined and beaded gown with a floor length skirt and the same long-sleeves and high crew neck as her Charlie’s Angels dress.

Some low flying tabloids like HollywoodLife attributed the design to Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld, but the lines where clearly Germanier.

“I’ve spent almost 2 years perfecting the technique, so I was feeling pretty confident,” Germanier told Vogue UK. He interweaves his sheer bodysuits and colorful dresses with plastic beads and a silicone material that is part of what he calls his “secret ingredients.””

This result are rainbow colors caused by thousands of beads sparkling in a kaleidoscopic effect.
