    Lady Gaga Pays Homage to Love in New Song ‘Venus’ (listen!)

    Lady Gaga rolled out another song, “Venus,” from her upcoming album ARTPOP. It’s a driving dance tune featuring the goddess of love. Although it’s decidedly different, it still evokes Madonna’s 1990 song “Vogue.” It could just be the way Gaga interjects the word “Venus,” in the song and how much it sounds like a similar interjection, “Vogue,” in Madonna’s song....

    Katy Perry unveiled Prism, her first studio album in three years, last night (Oct. 22) at an album listening party that doubled as the inaugural event for the new iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles. The album, she said, helped her find her own voice.     Wallace Hartley’s Titanic Violin Fetches $1.5M at London Auction

    Wallace Hartley, a second-class passenger on the Titanic, went down with the ship, but the violin he was playing on the night the liner stuck an iceberg survived and was sold at auction over the weekend for a surprisingly titanic sum, $1.5 million. The instrument was recovered in 2006 along with Hartley’s travel bag, which also was auctioned by Henry Aldridge & Son in London. The bag contained the violin and sheet music....

    Taylor Swift Song ‘Sweeter Than Fiction’ Debuts (Listen Here!)

    Taylor Swift’s new song, “Sweeter Than Fiction,” off the soundtrack for movie “One Chance” has been released in iTunes and is making its way viral on the Internet. The bouncy tune has a definite ’80s pop vibe in keeping with the film’s story about “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Paul Potts. Taylor co-wrote the song with guitarist Jack Antonoff specifically for the movie. It won’t appear on her album, but it’s featured on the “One Chance,” movie soundtrack album....
