Brad Pitt’s and Angelina Jolie’s impressive real estate empire is slowly crumbling in the wake of their divorce.
Known as “Brangelina” in the tabloids, the couple separated in 2016 and have been engaged in an acrimonious divorce over their kids and assets ever since.
The couple’s New Orleans mansion is the latest to go. It’s on the auction block at Interluxe Auctions.
They sold the property when they split up, but it’s back on the market, this time available with a starting bid of just $1 million.
It’s hard to say who has the upper hand. Pitt was once declared the sexiest man alive by People magazine and Jolie has long been considered a Hollywood siren. Both have had successful movie careers.

They met on the set of their movie, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, in 2005 while Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Brangelina had six children together — three via international adoption — and founded several humanitarian foundations. They married at their estate in Correns, France, known as “Château Miraval,” in 2014.
They added the historic mansion in New Orlean’s French Quarter in 2006. Their neighbors included such celebrities as Lil Wayne, Emeril Lagasse, Nick Cage, John Goodman, and Sandra Bullock.
The couple’s Make it Right Foundation was headquartered there. The foundation built eco-friendly homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina, which has generated a controversy of its own.

Built in 1828, the 7,703-square-foot mansion has a rich history. It served as a recording studio for Cosimo Matassa. It hosted such greats as Fats Domino, Little Richard, and Ray Charles among many other rock and R&B artists, according to TopTen Real Estate Deals.
Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen thoroughly restored the property in 2017. He preserved its nineteenth-century Parisian charm but updated its mechanicals.
Here’s the discription:
Occupying over 36 feet of French Quarter sidewalk, the mansion is equipped with a gated, carriage-style driveway lit by gas lamps.
French doors open onto a stylish foyer with harlequin tile floors. A marble fireplace anchors the stunning formal living room. It’s connected to the formal dining room with Venetian plaster walls. The front balcony opens with a set of double French doors.

The gourmet chef’s kitchen features a Viking stove, two ovens, a wine cooler, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, a butcher’s block island, marble counters and a pantry with windowed drawers.
A white marble fireplace completes the owner’s suite. It features crystal chandeliers, antique sconces, a spacious marble bathroom and its own balcony.
The home includes four guest bedrooms. A stand-alone three-story guest house includes a beautiful spiral staircase, a full kitchen and a gym.
Multiple balconies overlook the French Quarter skyline. The peaceful inner courtyard offers a fountain, a pool, and meticulous landscaping.
The French Quarter is New Orleans’ oldest neighborhood and is home to Marde Gras, the annual bacchanalian celebration.
If the three most important things in real estate are “location, location. location,” then the Brangelina house has it all.
Their former home is only steps away from the vibrant French Market with its world-class restaurants, and a stone’s throw from the lively bars and cajun eateries of Bourbon Street.
