  • Charli XCX, the latest phemon out of the England, opened for Katy Perry in Munich, Germany last night (Mar. 2), and gave her Prismatic Tour an extra kick, which such songs as her hit “Break the Rules.”

    Charli, real name Charlotte Emma Aitchison, scored a breakout in the United States last summer with her No. 1 hit “Boom Clap.”

    The song was later added to the soundtrack to Shailene Woodley’s film, “The Fault in Our Stars.”

    It was her first top 10 hit on the singles charts and was later released last December on her second major-label studio album, Sucker.

    Before that, she was a featured singer on Iggy Azalea’s hit song, “Fancy” and co-wrote Icona Pop’s song “I Love It,” which hit No. 1 on the UK charts.

    Perry launched the European leg of her Prismatic Tour last year in the UK and resumed it this month with her opening concert in Munich. She’ll hit 18 countries in all. Cologne, Hamburg and Berlin are her next stops in Germany this month.

    Perry’s third studio album, Prism, has sold 6 million copies world wide. The lead single “Roar,” has already become a pop classic. Her second single, “Dark Horse” was also a No. 1 hit globally, according to her label.

    Charli is opening all of Perry’s shows on the final leg of her European tour.
