Fans reportedly made the artwork and it was superimposed on Bieber in the video. They should learn how to spell.
At times he looks like a Jackson Pollack painting in the Skrillex and Diplo collaboration off the duo’s new album Jack Ü.
The video leaked online Saturday (June 27), two days ahead of its official release, after fans got a hold of it through a promotional sneak preview by Samsung on social media.
The controversial images, of course, play off Bieber’s loutish bad-boy image, and seemingly diss the singer, although they were probably added for effect. And, effect they had.
Some fans criticized the message on Twitter calling it “disrespectful” of the singer. But Diplo very diplomatically replied that the “internet is disrespectful.”
“enjoy the medium. translate the message for your self,” he added. “it is what it is.”
Diplo noted that “u guys made it! we love it.”
Bieber performed the new track last weekend at a Las Vegas beach club party. The song is the second single off Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack Ü. Bieber originally recorded the track as a stripped piano ballad.
