Duran wanted to know why it took the Biebs so long to release the record.
“The only thing that makes me mad about your single is we needed it at the beginning of summer, because it’s a great summer-sounding song. So why did you wait ’til autumn. It’s almost Christmas!” he said.
Well, not quite Christmas, but Biebs offered an explanation.
“I think it’s just timing, right? Just as far as me being ready to get back out in the world, ;cause once it starts it doesn’t stop for me. So was my mind ready, was my heart ready was this the music I wanted to release.
“Because at the end of the day, I don’t know if you really know, but that’s when trust really comes in and faith… We could go back and forth on is this the right sound.
“But I think at this point, I’m finally, you know what, I love what I do, I love the style [and] where I’m going in my direction right now,” he said.
Bieber announced that he was working on a new song lat month on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
He said he was inspired to write it by girls because they are often “flip-floppy.”
“They say something and they mean something else. What do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking,” he asked.
