Rihanna plays in the shadows in her new video for her song “You Da One,” a Melina Matsoukas-directed clip that shows the blond-bobbed Bajan singer flashing gold teeth and writhing in ’60s style sex kitten poses.

The three-minute, 28-second clip includes an Alice in Wonderland style checkered wall with life-size playing cards.

But the best scenes are of Rihanna painted with multi-patterned shadows while wearing a body-hugging tank top, or maybe, nothing at all.

In one scene near the end, the star is topless, leaning back and blowing smoke into the air.

The video was shot in London amid the European leg of her Loud Tour. Rihanna was forced to cancel several concerts because of exhaustion and the video may be one of the reasons why.

“I’m running on one hour of sleep. I’m not even going to remember this tomorrow. My eyes are burning a little bit,” she said in a teaser for the video.
